Homemade Dog Biscuits
If you don’t like feeding your dog treats loaded with unknown ingredients, it’s easy enough to make your own dog biscuits — even simpler than making cookies for humans.
2 cups wheat flour
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/c cup brewers yeast
3 Tbl. canola oil
1 cup chicken broth
1/6 tsp. salt
garlic powder, for flavor
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Mix flour, wheat germ, yeast, and salt until well blended.
- Mix in oil, chicken broth, salt, and garlic powder.
- Work dough into a half-inch slab and cut out shapes. You can use a glass if you don’t have cookie cutters.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes. Allow to dry for 2 hours.
Store uneaten dog biscuits in refrigerator.
